We have a new volunteer orientation page! The page contains links to informative training Powerpoint presentation and a new streamlined application form to help new volunteers get acquainted with the Cornerstone Community Health Free Clinic.
We are pleased to announce that our clinic has obtained an AAFP Foundation Family Medicine Cares USA grant!
We were very fortunate and awarded the total budget we requested, which will help us acquire diagnostic equipment, including a HgA1c machine and Hemacue, as well as a computer and exam tools!
About Family Medicine Cares USA
Launched in 2011, this humanitarian program is helping to establish new free clinics to care for the uninsured in areas of need across the United States. Grants are provided to new clinics for the purchase of tangible items needed to open their doors, such as exam tables, EHR systems, and medical equipment.
We are very pleased to report that our numbers are about double the numbers we reported for the same period last year: In the first 3 months of this year, we have seen 116 patients, given 30 flu shots, written 12 prescriptions, and distributed 41 medications!
