Family & Preventive Medicine Residency curriculum (combined program)

Resident teaching conferences are held Friday afternoons and include ambulatory clinic topics, behavioral medicine, dermatology, ethics and whole person care, emergency medicine, evidence based medicine, geriatrics, medical subspecialties, morbidity & mortality conference, orthopedics, pediatrics, practice management, preventive medicine, psychiatry, radiology, research, surgery and surgical subspecialties, and women’s health.

We have dedicated procedure workshops and time at the simulation center to work on code blue skills, OB deliveries, advanced procedures, etc.

Resident support groups are held monthly by postgraduate year.

Each resident, along with a faculty mentor, leads two journal club presentations, completes a research project, and participates in a quality improvement project.
