LLUHEC Family Medicine Residency

Our program, located in Loma Linda, California, combines the resources of Loma Linda University Medical Center with community-based, underserved FQHC care.

We strive to provide excellent, compassionate, whole-person care in the context of teamwork and integrity.

Loma Linda University Health Education Consortium (LLUHEC) Family Medicine Residency features the “best-of-both-worlds” – a combination of a university program in a community hospital setting. Consider some of our unique strengths and advantages:

Our inpatient medicine service is practiced in a community hospital setting, where you will do ICU management, procedures, and teach medical students. Patients are managed entirely by our family medicine team. Patients requiring specialty services receive consultation from university specialists while remaining on your continuing care.

Loma Linda University Health System Department of Family Medicine faculty have diverse expertise in behavioral medicine, clinical ethics, geriatrics, palliative care, pediatrics, preventive medicine, research, and sports medicine.

We value whole person care with integrated behavioral health and an emphasis on professional well-being. Loma Linda University Medical Center is a faith-based hospital with an inclusive spiritual atmosphere where your own religious faith and spiritual practices will be respected and valued.

Our program, located in Loma Linda, California, combines the resources of Loma Linda University Medical Center with community-based, underserved FQHC care.

We strive to provide excellent, compassionate, whole-person care in the context of teamwork and integrity.

Our residents learn whole-person care not just for their patients, but also for themselves. The curriculum has been updated with an emphasis on family medicine residency clinic, process improvement, and population management.

The faculty members pride themselves in creating a supportive environment where residents can pursue their individual career interests. Program graduates have gone to work in underserved areas, academic family medicine, global health work, and private practice.
